Firearms Maintenance Class

A free class provided as a community service reinforcing the 4 Universal Firearm Safety Rules and covering field stripping a firearm, basic firearms maintenance, lubrication and general cleaning principles. Remember, you’re trusting your life to this device, you MUST maintain it!

I’m here to assist, teach, answer any questions you may have and provide technical assistance in whatever way is required, but please bring your own firearm cleaning supplies. I have cleaning mats, some brushes, small parts bins, rags, paper towels etc. on hand, but unfortunately I can’t supply attendees with complete cleaning kits.

Course Overview

  • Free family oriented class providing safety and familiarity training.
  • For any household that contains a firearm.
  • For anyone that simply wants to learn how to be safe around firearms.
  • Provided as free service for the community.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their firearm in for cleaning and instructor assistance.

NO AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM! ALL FIREARMS MUST BE CLEARED BY THE INSTRUCTOR ON ENTRY.

  • New gun owners who want a comprehensive introduction to firearms handling, safety and maintenance.
  • Any firearm owner who needs help translating their firearms’ owners manual.

Class Structure

  • Lecture, Overview and Technical Assistance Where Required 
  • Duration: 1 ~ 2 hours
  • Class Size: Maximum of 15 students for personalized attention.
